'Would Have Called Off Marriage If She...': What Siya's Brother Told Police In Ketan Agarwal Murder Case

Ketan Agrawal Murder: In a fresh update in the Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal murder case, Sahil Goyal, brother of Siya Goyal, told police that the family would have called off the marriage if Siya had expressed any discomfort.

After a nearly 10-hour-long interrogation on Friday, Sahil was summoned by Pune police in the morning and allowed to return home late in the evening. He was questioned about his sister’s relationship with co-accused Chetan Chaudhary and cross-checked on several details.

Police have so far questioned seven people, including an employee whose mobile phone Chaudhary allegedly used to communicate with Sia on the day of the incident. 

Sahil Goyal’s statement To Police

“If Siya had said she didn't like Ketan, we would have stopped the wedding,” Sahil told the cops.

“Sahil knows Chetan, and we cross-checked certain things with him. He was questioned for nearly 10 hours,” the official told news agency PTI.

Crime scene reconstruction at Lohagad Fort

Ketan Agarwal, who was allegedly pushed from a cliff on June 18, saw Pune police on Friday carry out a physical recreation of the crime scene at Lohagad Fort.

Investigators dropped a human-sized dummy into the 400-foot gorge to find the exact direction of the fall, aiming to determine whether the businessman was physically pushed by his fiancée, Siya Goyal, or whether her lover, Chetan Chaudhary, committed the crime at her order, NDTV reported.

Father rejects wig-related motive

Ketan’s father, Vishal Agarwal, rejected claims that his son’s use of a ‘hair wig’ was a motive for the killing.

“Ketan had a small patch of hair loss due to medical reasons, but this was clearly communicated well before the marriage was finalised,” he said.

He further stated, “If she had any issues, she could have just said no. It would have been very easy for Siya to simply call off the wedding if that was an issue for her.”

Ketan Agarwal and Siya Goyal were engaged in February 2026. Siya’s fiancé was allegedly in a relationship with Hetan Chadhaury. To remove the obstacle from their relationship, they are accused of killing him by throwing him from the fort.
