Earlier this month, the police in Gujarat’s Jamnagar solved a murder mystery where a woman allegedly killed her husband two years ago and hid it from others, saying he has gone to Australia for a job. The story, which has a resemblance to Bollywood movie Drishyam, came to light when one of the woman’s relatives, planning a trip to Australia, asked for the address. The woman, identified as Prithvi, alias Bhumiben, hesitated to provide any details about her husband, Jignesh Mavadiya. Her suspicious behaviour prompted the relatives to file a complaint.
The case turned out to have an unexpected outcome when the cops recovered a skeletal remains from beneath a factory premises in Jamnagar. Prithvi, for the past two years, has claimed that her husband, Jignesh, had moved to Australia and his company policy strictly prohibits him from taking phone calls.
