Lal Krishna Advani: Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited Lal Krishna Advani on Wednesday at his residence to greet him on his birthday. Prime Minister, continuing his yearly tradition, sought blessings from the party stalwart.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent heartfelt birthday wishes to the veteran BJP leader and the Hindutva stalwart, Lal Krishna Advani on Wednesday. While posting a birthday message on his official X account, PM hailed the Rath Yatra hero by saying that he is a beacon of integrity and dedication 'who made monumental contributions that have strengthened our nation'.
"Birthday greetings to LK Advani Ji. He is a beacon of integrity and dedication who has made monumental contributions that have strengthened our nation," read PM's message on the social media platform X.
Remembering Advani's contributions as Deputy Prime Minister and home minister in the erstwhile Atal government, PM Modi lauded his selfless efforts in nation-building.

"His visionary leadership has furthered national progress and unity. I wish him good health and a long life. His efforts towards nation-building continue to inspire 140 crore Indians," the Prime Minister added.
Along with the PM, senior BJP ministers and leaders also wished the best to the RSS veteran and co-founder of the party. Taking to the X, Union Home Minister Amit Shah greeted Advani and praised his tireless work to build the party.

"Happy birthday to respected Lal Krishna Advani ji. Advani ji, with his tireless hard work and organizational skills, worked to nourish the party and build workers. I pray to God for his long life and good health," Shah wrote.
Lal Krishna Advani, a Padma Vibhushan, was born in 1927 in Pakistan's Karachi.
He was the minister of home affairs in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance government between 1998 and 2004. Advani also served as the deputy Prime Minister under Atal Bihari Vajpayee from 2002 to 2004. He is one of the co-founders and a senior leader of the BJP.
