The Ludhiana Police have launched a manhunt for two persons accused of dumping the body of a woman on a divider in Ludhiana. According to Jagran.com, the suspects arrived at the spot with a sack on their bike. After spotting the traffic police personnel, the pillion rider dropped the sack and ran away.

The rider picked up the sack and tried to flee the spot. However, people were observing his uncanny behaviour. He stopped his bike again and threw the sack on the divider. Upon being asked, he said he had thrown rotten mangoes.

After this, he left the spot, leaving behind his bike while pretending to talk on his phone.

Bystanders developed suspicion and informed police about the incident. When cops arrived, they opened the sack and found the dead body of a woman in it. The deceased woman has been identified as Reshma (31).

After the incident, the police checked the cameras of Safe City and after examining them, it was found that the accused had left with the dead body on a bike from Sunet Village. From there, they reached Aarti Chowk by covering a distance of 3.7 kilometres.

“Preliminary investigation suggests that the woman may have been murdered and her body disposed of by the two men, who are the prime suspects. The suspects and the victim seem to be migrants,” The Tribune reported Sub-Inspector Amarjit Singh, the investigating officer, as saying.
