Madvi Hidma Slogan Raised: Amid an ongoing protest against the air pollution at Delhi's India Gate, several protestors raised pro-Maoist slogans like "Madvi Hidma Amar Rahe" (long live Madvi Hidma). A group of protestors was also seen carrying posters of the Naxal commander who was killed by the security forces in the bordering areas of Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh on November 18. The Delhi Police confirmed that some of the protestors raised such slogans, assuring strict action against them. In the past two decades, Hidma was involved in multiple notorious operations against the forces, especially in the Bastar region.

The protestors were seen carrying posters claiming that Hidma was in the league of environmentalist Birsa Munda, adding that the people will continue to fight for the forests. "From Birsa Munda to Madvi Hidma, the struggle of our forests and environment will go on," the text on one of the posters read.
