Maharashtra ZP Election Result 2026 Live Updates: Mahayuti Sweep Poll Winning 552 Of 731 Seats; PM Modi Says, Results Reflect State's Support

The BJP has maintained its dominance in the Zilla Parishad elections as well. Out of 12 Zilla Parishads, the BJP secured a majority or emerged as the single largest party in six districts. 

In the ruling Mahayuti, the BJP led with 225 seats, followed by 165 for the Nationalist Congress Party and 162 for the Shiv Sena.

The BJP-led Mahayuti swept the Zilla Parishad polls in Maharashtra, results of which were declared on Monday, winning 552 of 731 seats, the State Election Commission said.

Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar has left Baramati for Pune to meet Sharad Pawar, who has been admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic after reportedly feeling unwell.

Of the five members of Varpudkar family who contested the polls in Parbhani, only one of them won on a Congress ticket. Others who contested on BJP and Shiv Sena tickets lost.

"We have broken the poll record of 2017. Opposition lacked the will to fight, says CM Devendra Fadnavis," reacting to BJP's spectacular show.

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has won all six seats in Zilla Parishad polls in Baramati taluka. It has also won all 12 seats in Panchayat Samiti. 

Daughter of former Shiv Sena MLA Dnyanraj Chougule, Aakanksha Chougule has won from Alur.

NCP is currently leading in 43 seats out of the 73 seats in Pune Zilla Parishad polls.

Shiv Sena is ahead with 12 seats in Dharashiv zilla parishad polls. On second spot is BJP with 10 seats. Shiv Sena (UBT) has bagged 5 seats. Both NCP and Congress have won 4 seats each.

BJP’s Dilip Prabhakarrao Deshmukh won in Zari. Shiv Sena’s Suchita Anandrao Bharose and Pooja Anil Sawant won in Takli Bobde and Pingli, respectively. Congress candidates Jitendra Gopal Deshmukh and Jyotsna Ganesh Ghadge bagged seats in Pedgaon and Daithana, and Ajit Warpudkar also claimed victory in Lohgaon.

In Baramati panchayat samiti poll, NCP is ahead on 10 of the 12 seats and all 5 Zilla Parishad seats.

BJP worlers are celebrating as party leads in 16 seats in zilla parishad polls in Sangli.

Congress is ahead in 12 seats while NCP is leading in 11 seats in the Kolhapur Zilla Parishad polls.

NCP is leading in 24 seats, BJP in 16, Congress in zero in Solapur Zilla Parishad elections.

BJP is ahead in 145 seats while Shiv Sena in 85, NCP 80, Congress in 30, Sena UBT in 21. There are a total of 731 seats.

MP Sandipan Bhumre's nephew Shivraj Bhumre has taken an early lead in Pachod Zilla Parishad. He is leading with 354 votes after the first round of counting.

Currently Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is ahead on 4 seats in Pune.

Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is currently trailing with Congress ahead only in 24 seats. Meanwhile, the Uddhav Sena is leading in 16 seats.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading on 70 seats. On the second spot is Shiv Sena 36, followed by NCP 33.

Counting of votes for elections to 12 Zilla Parishads and 125 Panchayat Samitis in Maharashtra began at 10 am on Monday. The elections saw a turnout of 68.28 per cent among the 2.08 crore voters.,

According to the State Election Commission (SEC), the elections saw an overall voter turnout of 68.28 per cent. Parbhani district registered the highest participation at 74.89 per cent, while Ratnagiri reported the lowest turnout, with 55.79 per cent of eligible voters exercising their franchise, as per News Agency PTI.,

Maharashtra Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti Election voting was held on February 7. Pune, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Kolhapur, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Parbhani, Dharashiv and Latur districts went to polls. 

A total of 2.09 crore people were eligible to vote in these elections, out of which 1.07 crore were men and 1.02 crore were women.,
