Mangaluru-Chennai Special Train: To manage the rush of passengers during the Pongal festival, Southern Railway has announced a special train service between Mangaluru and Chennai.

The festival special express will operate on January 13 and 14 to provide additional travel options for commuters heading home or returning after the celebrations.

Mangaluru-Chennai Special Train: Departure And Arrival Timings

Train No. 06126, the Mangaluru Junction-Dr MGR Chennai Central Festival Special Express, will depart from Mangaluru Junction at 3.10 AM on January 13 and reach Dr MGR Chennai Central at 11.30 PM the same day. In the return direction, Train No. 06125, the Dr MGR Chennai Central-Mangaluru Junction Festival Special Express, will leave Chennai Central at 4.15 AM on January 14 and arrive at Mangaluru Junction at 11.30 PM.

According to railway officials, the train composition includes one 2-tier AC coach, three 3-tier AC coaches, 15 sleeper class coaches and two second class-cum-luggage brake vans, offering options across different travel classes.

Mangaluru-Chennai Special Train: Halting Stations

The special train will halt at several key stations en route. These include Kasargod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Tirur, Shoranur Junction, Palakkad Junction, Podanur Junction, Tiruppur, Erode Junction, Salem Junction, Jolarpettai Junction, Katpadi Junction, Arakkonam Junction, Tiruvallur and Perambur.
