Singrauli News: Madhya Pradesh police discovered four dead bodies inside the septic tank of a house in Singrauli district on Saturday, suspecting multiple murders. The house, located under the Bargawan police station jurisdiction, is around 30 km from the district headquarters.

The discovery was made after a local reported a foul smell emanating from the septic tank. Upon investigation, the police found the bodies, with two identified as 30-year-old Suresh Prajapati, the son of the house owner Hari Prasad Prajapati and Karan Halwai. The identities of the remaining two victims are still unknown.

According to police, Suresh and Karan had visited the house on January 1 for a party with their friends. Initial investigations suggest that both men were likely murdered at the property and their bodies disposed of in the septic tank. Authorities have launched a full investigation into the incident.

Additional Superintendent of Police Shiv Kumar Verma confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and further details will be revealed once more information becomes available.

In separate news, a first-year B.Tech student, Rohit from Telangana, committed suicide by hanging himself in his hostel room at IIT Simrol, Indore, on January 3. His friends found him dead after returning from dinner. Rohit had been locked in his room all day. According to his classmate, he was good in studies, and no one believed he would take such a step.

Investigations revealed a screen saver on Rohit’s phone, stating that he had lost Rs 40,000 in college fees to online gambling and felt unable to pay it. He left a message to his parents, saying he had become addicted to online gambling. The police have seized his phone and are awaiting the post-mortem report for further investigation. No suicide note was found.
