Mumbai Alert: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has alerted people in Mumbai about high tides of 4.96 metres till December 7. BMC has requested people to not go to the shore during this time. As per the BMC, a high tide of 4.96 metres will likely occur in the Arabian Sea at 11:52 pm on Thursday.
"Those visiting Chaitya Bhoomi and Shivaji Park on December 6, on Dr B R Ambedkar's death anniversary, should exercise caution near the seafront," BMC stated, as per a TimesNow report.
"Every year, thousands of people converge at Chaitya Bhoomi in central Mumbai, where Ambedkar's last rites were performed in 1956,” added BMC.
