Train Accident: A freight train has derailed in Bandamunda under the Chakradharpur Rail Division. The incident occurred on the up line of the Mumbai-Howrah main railway route. Following the incident, train operations on the up line have come to a complete halt.
Railway staff and officers have reached the spot, and efforts are underway at full speed to rerail the derailed freight train. According to a report by Jagran.com, the freight train derailed on Saturday morning around 7:45 near kilometre pole number 408/11 E in front of K-Cabin in the Bandamunda main section of the Howrah-Mumbai main rail route.

According to the report, the N Box freight train was going from Bandamunda towards Rourkela. Suddenly, two coaches of the freight train derailed in front of the K-Cabin. After the incident, the derailed freight train stood on the up line, due to which train operations on the up line of the Howrah-Mumbai main rail route have come to a halt.
Employees from Engineering and Carriage & Wagon departed for the incident site and are engaged in efforts to rerail the train at the spot.
Goods Train Derails In Bihar
Several trains running between Delhi and Howrah faced disruptions in their schedules after eight wagons of a goods train derailed between Lahabon in Bihar and Simultala stations in the Asansol Division of Eastern Railways.

The incident had taken place on Saturday, December 27, at around 11:25 at night after a cement-laden freight train derailed.
