Maharashtra, with its 48 Lok Sabha seats, stands as one of the most crucial battlegrounds in the Lok Sabha elections, second only to Uttar Pradesh which has 80 seats. In the previous general elections held in 2019, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged as the dominant force in Maharashtra, securing victory in 23 Lok Sabha seats. Its long-standing ally, the Shiv Sena (which was then undivided), clinched 18 seats. Additionally, the undivided Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) secured four seats, while the Congress party and AIMIM each secured one seat.
