Namo Bharat Train Update: The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) on Wednesday stated that the frequency of the operation of Namo Bharat train has been reduced at New Ashok Nagar and Anand Vihar stations. It informed the passengers travelling from Delhi to Meerut will now have to face inconveniences due to the maintenance work. The NCRTC further stated that the gap between the operation of two trains at these stations has been increased to half an hour from fifteen minutes. The authority further stated that the frequency has been reduced for the next few weeks until a new advisory is released.

While providing details, the authority stated that the maintenance work is being carried out to improve the connectivity between two key cities. It further stated that while the frequency has been reduced at New Ashok Nagar and Anand Vihar, the operations between Sahibabad and Meerut will remain normal as before.

The longer gap between the operation of two trains will lead to inconvenience to the passenger; however, the maintenance work is expected to improve the functioning. While the NCRTC officials did not provide details of the maintenance work on these stations, the reports suggest that the works are being carried out to improve the facilities and connectivity.

The operation on New Ashok Nagar and Anand Vihar stations began on June 5 this year, providing a major relief to the residents of these regions by significantly cutting the travel time and reducing traffic congestion. The authority has advised the passengers to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.
