Namo Bharat Update: In a move aimed at facilitating candidates appearing for the UPPCS Preliminary Examination on October 12, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has announced an early start of the Namo Bharat train services. On the exam day, the train operations will begin at 6:00 AM, two hours before the usual start time of 8:00 AM.
The Namo Bharat trains will run until 10:00 PM on October 12, offering extra travel hours for examinees and other commuters. The decision has been made to reduce traffic on the Delhi Metro and provide faster and convenient travel options for commuters.
NCRTC To Start Early Services For UPPCS Exam
- The NCRTC has announced that Namo Bharat train services will start two hours early on the day of the UPPCS exam.
- Namo Bharat train services will commence operations at 6:00 AM on October 12, instead of the usual time of 8:00 AM.
- Additionally, the services will run until 10:00 AM, providing extended travel hours.
- The revised schedule aims to reduce pressure on the Delhi Metro and roads and ensure a hassle-free travel for the UPPCS exam candidates.
- The Namo Bharat Train operates daily between Meerut South and New Ashok Nagar Station in Delhi.
- It is equipped with modern amenities and runs at a speed of 160 kilometres per hour, cutting travel time between Delhi and Meerut to 55 minutes.

When Will The Sarai Kale Khan Station Be Inaugurated?
In a major update, the NCRTC has announced plans to inaugurate the Sarai Kale Khan station on the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor before Diwali. Earlier, it was planned to be inaugurated on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17.
Once inaugurated, the entire stretch connecting Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Modipuram in Meerut will be functional, ensuring convenient long-distance travel for commuters.
