On New Year's Eve, huge crowds of devotees have gathered at major temples across the country. Despite the cold weather and fog, people are arriving in large numbers to offer prayers and seek blessings.

From Jammu and Kashmir to Uttar Pradesh, there is a steady stream of devotees at religious sites. The number of people seeking blessings for a fresh start on the last day of the year was so high that strict security arrangements were put in place at several locations. Devotees were seen offering prayers, and the echoes of chants could be heard everywhere. People arrived with wishes for happiness, prosperity, and good health in the New Year. Even amidst cold winds and dense fog, the enthusiasm of the devotees remains undiminished.

Flood Of Devotees At Mata Vaishno Devi

A massive number of devotees arrived at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the New Year 2026. Long queues were seen in Katra. Despite the dense fog and cold, people were undertaking the pilgrimage with great enthusiasm, and those heading towards the shrine appeared filled with joy. The atmosphere on the last day of the year was visibly devotional. In view of the crowd, the administration stepped up security measures to ensure a smooth pilgrimage.

Special Enthusiasm At Ram Mandir In Ayodhya

Huge crowds gathered at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya on the last day of the year. This day also marks Pratishtha Dwadashi. Devotees started arriving at the temple early in the morning, eager to begin the New Year with a darshan of Ram Lalla. Long lines formed within the temple complex, and the atmosphere was completely immersed in devotion. The administration made additional arrangements to manage the heavy footfall.

Crowds Surge At Banke Bihari Temple In Vrindavan

A massive crowd of devotees was witnessed at the Banke Bihari temple in Vrindavan, Mathura district, on the last day of the year. Nishant, a devotee from Pune, said, "I have come here to seek Lord Krishna's blessings. It is my first time, and it feels very good." Another young devotee shared, "I just want to meet Banke Bihari. I will pray for a good job and studies." Due to the large crowd, visitors had to wait for a considerable time to enter the temple.

Strict Security Arrangements

Regarding crowd management, Mathura District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh clarified, "The rumor that people cannot visit the temple is incorrect. However, there are indeed a very large number of people in Vrindavan right now."

Agra Range DIG Shailesh Pandey stated, "Devotees from across the country and abroad visit the temples in Mathura. A security campaign has been launched in the district to ensure devotees face no issues." The administration remained alert at all religious centers, with special arrangements made to manage crowds smoothly and ensure safety.
