BRICS Summit 2026: India is all set to host the 18th BRICS Summit at New Delhi's Bharat Mandapam on September 12 and 13. To give attending delegates and journalists a taste of the country's culture and regional heritage, India has prepared a special goodie bag featuring nine items sourced from different parts of the country.

What's Inside The BRICS Goodie Bag

According to NDTV, the goodie bag features traditional foods, beverages, and textiles from across the country:

- Sattu From Bihar: One key item is sattu from Bihar, which is made from roasted gram and known for its high protein content.

- Makhana from Bihar: The hamper also contains makhana from Bihar, a popular snack eaten across the country.

- Speciality Coffee From Odisha: For beverages, the bag includes 100 per cent Arabica speciality coffee sourced from the tribal hills of Odisha.

- Other Items: In addition to food and beverage items, the hamper includes a traditional block-printed stole from Gujarat, a coffee mug, and a tote bag.

In-Built Charging Port

The bag comes with a built-in charging port, allowing journalists to charge their devices while carrying it around the venue.

International Media Centre At Bharat Mandapam

Around 1,200 to 1,300 journalists are expected to arrive in New Delhi to cover the summit, including representatives from BRICS member and partner countries. The government is setting up a dedicated International Media Centre at Bharat Mandapam to assist journalists with accessing information, reporting, and covering the event.

The expanded BRICS group consists of 11 full member nations: Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and the UAE. It also includes 10 partner countries: Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Thailand, Uganda, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
