- CJP launched 'Jantar Mantar at Kochi' protest.
- Demands withdrawal of electoral rolls revision.
- Actor Prakash Raj led rally of 500 activists.
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) began its ‘Jantar Mantar at Kochi’ protest in Kerala on Saturday, November 7, demanding the withdrawal of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar. Around 500 activists participated in the march, which began at Marine Drive and was led by actor-activist Prakash Raj, according to the organisers.
The rally is CJP's first major protest outside Delhi following the police crackdown on its demonstrations in the national capital last month. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, who arrived in Kochi to attend the demonstration, said the party would continue its campaign against Gyanesh Kumar until an independent and impartial electoral system is established in India.
