Bihar-Delhi Festive Special Trains: Ahead of the prominent festivals Diwali and Chhath Puja, the Railways will operate a festive special train between New Delhi and Darbhanga on a daily basis till the November end. While providing details, the authority stated that train number 04098/04097 New Delhi-Darbhanga-New Delhi will operate to provide an additional travel option to the passengers of Bihar. The regular trains to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are likely to witness heavy rush in the next two months due to the festivals.
North Bihar To Get Benefit
As per the schedule, the festive special train will pass halt at Samastipur Junction, providing significant convenience to passengers of the northern districts, including Sitamarhi, and Shoehar. The officials stated that train number 04098 New Delhi-Darbhanga Special will run daily from October 10 to November 25. They further stated that train number 04097 Darbhanga-New Delhi Special will operate from October 11 to November 26.

The authority further stated that the special train has been scheduled to run 47 trips in each direction. The special train will depart from New Delhi at 9:30 am and will then travel via Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Aishbagh, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Bagaha, Narkatiaganj, Bettiah, Motihari, and Muzaffarpur.

The officials further stated that the train will arrive in Samastipur at 10:05 AM the next day and will have a 30-minute stop there. It will then depart from Samastipur at 10:35 AM and arrive in Darbhanga at 12:00 PM. On its return journey, it will depart from Darbhanga at 3:00 PM.
More Special Trains Likely
This festival special train will have a total of 24 coaches, providing multiple options to the passengers. The operation of special train during the festive season will provide relief to the travelers of these regions. The railways is expected to announce a few more special trains for multiple districts in the coming weeks.
