Festive Special Trains To Run For Patna, Kanpur, Kolkata, Other Cities From Oct 6 Amid Passenger Rush; Check Full Schedule

Jagran Correspondent, Kanpur: view of the upcoming festive season, North Central Railway has extended the operational period of several special trains to manage the anticipated passenger rush. It has announced additional trips for special trains operating on key routes during Navratri, Dussehra, Diwali and Chhath Puja.

The Kanpur Central-Kolkata weekly special train will make eight additional trips. Additionally, the Agra Cantt-Kolkata Special will operate nine extra trips, while the Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi-Asansol Special Express will make 16 additional trips.

According to Dr Shivam Sharma, CPRO, North Central Railway, the operation of train numbers 04157/04158, the Kanpur Central-Kolkata weekly special train, has been extended.

Kanpur Central-Kolkata Weekly Special Train

The train will depart from Kanpur Central every Tuesday from October 6 to November 24, completing eight trips during this period. On its return journey, it will depart from Kolkata every Wednesday from October 7 to November 25, making eight trips.

Agra Cantt-Kolkata-Agra Cantt Weekly Special Train

Train numbers 01911/01912, the Agra Cantt-Kolkata-Agra Cantt weekly special train, will also make nine additional trips. The train will depart from Agra Cantt every Thursday from October 1 to November 26 and from Kolkata every Friday from October 2 to November 27.

Jhansi-Asansol Special Train

Train numbers 04185/04186, the Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi-Asansol Special Express, will operate twice a week. It will make 16 trips from Jhansi every Wednesday and Sunday from October 7 to November 29 and from Asansol every Monday and Thursday from October 8 to November 30.

Azamgarh-Bandra Terminus Weekly Special Train

To manage the passenger rush, the 05183/05184 Azamgarh-Bandra Terminus weekly special train has also been extended with additional trips. It will make nine additional trips from Azamgarh from October 3 to November 28 and nine extra trips from Bandra Terminus from October 5 to November 30.

Madar Junction (Rajasthan)-Patna Weekly Special

Lastly, train numbers 09601/09602, the Madar Junction (Rajasthan)-Patna weekly special train, will make nine additional trips. The train will operate from Madar Junction from October 1 to November 26 and from Patna from October 2 to November 27.
