To accommodate the expected surge in passengers during the upcoming Dussehra and Diwali festivals, Indian Railways has announced 102 trips of special trains via Solapur Division. The special services will connect major destinations, including Mumbai, Chennai, Latur, Kolhapur, and Kalaburagi, to ensure smooth travel for commuters.
CSMT Mumbai-Chennai Beach Weekly Special
This weekly service will make six trips in each direction.
- CSMT Mumbai to Chennai Beach: Departs Mumbai at 00:35 hrs every Wednesday from October 14 to November 18, reaching Chennai Beach at 23:30 hrs the same day.
- Chennai Beach to CSMT Mumbai: Departs Chennai Beach at 04:00 hrs every Thursday from October 15 to November 19, arriving at CSMT Mumbai at 04:00 hrs the next day.
- Stoppages: Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Kurduwadi, Solapur, Kalaburagi, Wadi, Krishna, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, Adoni, Guntakal, Gooty, Tadipatri, Yerraguntla, Cuddapah, Razampeta, Renigunta, Arakkonam, and Perambur.
Mumbai-Latur Bi-Weekly Special
This bi-weekly service will make 13 trips in each direction.
- CSMT Mumbai to Latur: Departs CSMT Mumbai at 00:35 hrs every Tuesday and Thursday from October 13 to November 24, arriving at Latur at 11:40 hrs the same day.
- Latur to CSMT Mumbai: Departs Latur at 16:30 hrs every Tuesday and Thursday from October 13 to November 24, reaching CSMT Mumbai at 04:10 hrs the next day.
- Stoppages: Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Uruli, Daund, Bhigwan, Jeur, Kurduwadi, Barshi Town, Dharashiv, and Harangul.
Kolhapur-Kalaburagi Daily Special (Except Friday)
The service will run six days a week and make 64 trips in total.
- Kolhapur to Kalaburagi: Departs Kolhapur at 06:10 hrs daily (except Fridays) from October 10 to November 15, reaching Kalaburagi at 16:10 hrs the same day (32 trips).
- Kalaburagi to Kolhapur: Departs Kalaburagi at 18:10 hrs daily (except Fridays) from October 10 to November 15, reaching Kolhapur at 05:40 hrs the next day (32 trips).
- Stoppages: Hatkanagale, Jayasingpur, Miraj Junction, Arag, Belanki, Sulgare, Kavathe Mahankal, Langarpeth, Dhalgaon, Mhasoba Dongargaon, Javale, Wasud, Sangola, Pandharpur, Modnimb, Kurduwadi Junction, Solapur, and Kalaburagi Junction (Gulbarga).
Reservations To Open On September 27
Reservations for these festival special trains on special charges will open on Sunday, September 27. Tickets can be booked through computerised reservation centres, the IRCTC website (www.irctc.co.in), and the RailOne app.
