West Bengal: Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Kunal Ghosh on Sunday alleged that he was targeted in a fresh attack in his Beliaghata constituency in East Kolkata. This comes just a day after his car was allegedly attacked with eggs and bricks in Hooghly district.
Following the incident, Ghosh went to the Narkeldanga Police Station to file a formal complaint. His damaged vehicle was also brought to the police station.

TMC MLA Kunal Ghosh Claims Attempted Murder
Speaking to news agency ANI, Ghosh said, "Today I was once again the target of an attempted murder. It is only by the grace of the Almighty that I am still alive. In the city of Kolkata, in broad daylight on a Sunday, I was on my way to attend a programme as an MLA when I was attacked."

Ghosh said that the attackers were armed, smashed the car window to drag him out, and brandished revolvers. He added that he was saved after his security personnel drew their weapons.
Ghosh Accuses BJP And Questions Police Response
Ghosh pointed the finger directly at the BJP for planning the alleged attacks against him and questioned the police response.
"BJP is certainly involved, and the police are inactive; we will have to see who else is implicated," he said.
Despite the back-to-back alleged attacks, the TMC leader remained defiant, asserting that he would not be intimidated.
"What do they want? Do they want my dead body? Until I am dead, they will never be able to force me to change my stance," Ghosh added.

Previous Incident In Hooghly
The latest incident comes just a day after Ghosh was attacked in Uttarpara, Hooghly district, while he was travelling to Serampore to join a rally led by former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Ghosh alleged that BJP 'goons' attacked his vehicle with rods, eggs, stones, bricks, and crowbars.
