A tragic accident occurred near the newly inaugurated Noida International Airport on Sunday afternoon, when a speeding truck driving on the wrong side of the road collided with a police vehicle escorting BJP MLA Rajesh Chaudhary’s convoy, resulting in the death of a police Sub-Inspector.

The incident took place at the airport interchange, where the convoy of Rajesh Chaudhary, the MLA from the Mant Assembly constituency in Mathura, was heading toward Jewar Airport. Sub-Inspector Rajendra Singh Yadav, posted at the Mathura Police Lines, was leading the escort vehicle at the time.

As the convoy moved onto the link expressway connecting the Yamuna Expressway to the airport, a high-speed truck coming from the opposite direction crashed into the lead police vehicle. The impact proved fatal for the Sub-Inspector.

The policemen travelling in the vehicle were injured in the accident. After receiving information, the Yamuna Expressway security team and local police reached the spot and rushed all the injured to a private hospital in Jewar, where doctors declared Sub-Inspector R.S. Yadav dead. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
