Noida, with all its high-rise buildings and bustling industrial rush, is all geared up to get its first lake park. The proposed lake park will be built in Sector 167 on approximately 29 acres, 10 acres of which will be dedicated to the lake.

The foundation stone of the park was laid by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Saturday. The park's design has been finalised and the tender process will be completed soon.

It should be noted that a parking space will also be built for the convenience of visitors to Lake Park. This parking space will be located near the main entrance to the park complex.

Parking will be available for 1000 vehicles

It will be developed with a capacity of approximately 1,000 vehicles. The area is marked as a green belt, so no additional parking will be constructed.

Noida Authority Garden Director Anand Mohan Singh said that greenery on the banks of the lake, a walking track, an open gym, a food street and other facilities will be developed.

Facilities in the park

The park will include an oxygen valley, a dirt track for walking, a food zone, a bicycle track, a sitting area, a play area, a gym, a central plaza, a fountain, a Life Breath Jungle, a pond, and a lake. Two elevated tracks will also be built within this lake park.

These elevated tracks will allow visitors to enjoy a stroll through the lake. This will be the city's first park with a large reservoir. The project is estimated to cost more than Rs 21 crore. The project plan, prepared by the authority through a consultant, has already been presented.

The number of trees

  • 2,294 banyan trees will be planted in the park.
  • 2,900 Peepal trees will be planted.
  • 3,800 Neem trees will be planted.
  • 3,240 Pilkhan trees will be planted.
  • 1,590 tamarind trees will be planted.
