Parliament Monsoon Session: Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, while speaking in the parliament, slammed the central government for the Pahalgam attack and "abruptly" declaring the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Gandhi claimed that the prime minister does not know how to use the army, further daring him to call US President Donald Trump a "liar" for his repeated claims of involvement in the ceasefire deal. He further claimed that the leadership lacked the "political will" to fight against the Pakistani forces. He also flagged that the Indian "diplomacy has failed" as Pakistan got the support of China in building their defence system.

"PM Modi must deny in Lok Sabha that Trump is a 'liar' and we did not lose any planes,” Gandhi stated. “It is a very dangerous time and we cannot afford a prime minister who doesn't know how to use the Army. We cannot afford a prime minister who doesn't have the guts to say from here that Donald Trump is a liar," he added. The Congress leader further asked why Pakistan was offered a ceasefire on the same day asOperation Sindoor, adding that the decision-makers lacked the willpower to fight.

"Let us now move to #OperationSindoor. Yesterday I watched Rajnath Singh's speech. I listen quite carefully when people speak. He said that Operation Sindoor began at 1.05 in the morning. He said that Operation Sindoor lasted 22 minutes. Then he said the most shocking thing - at 1.35, we called Pakistan and told them that we have hit non-military targets and we do not want escalation," Gandhi stated.

"Maybe he does not understand what he revealed. The DGMO of India was told by the Govt of India to ask for a ceasefire at 1.35 at night itself on the night of Operation Sindoor...You directly told Pakistan your political will that you do not have the political will to fight, that you do not want to fight," the Congress MP added.

Rahul Gandhi stated that some of India's aircraft suffered damage only because the government had directed the pilots to not hit the Pakistani defence system.
