The green signal has been given for the proposed Vande Bharat train between Patliputra Junction and Gorakhpur, with operations likely to commence from June 20. An inauguration ceremony is planned at Patliputra Junction, for which East Central Railway has requested a slot from the Prime Minister's Office. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to flag off the train.
The railway administration has accelerated preparations for the train's operation. The Vande Bharat train will make travel between Patna, Muzaffarpur, and Gorakhpur more convenient. According to the prepared timetable, the train will depart Gorakhpur at 6 am, passing through Bettiah, Narkatiaganj, and Muzaffarpur, before reaching Patna. The return journey from Patna to Gorakhpur is scheduled for 9 pm.
