Pune-Bengaluru Expressway: Significantly Reduction In Distance, Travel Time

The Pune-Bangalore Expressway, spanning 700 km, is expected to significantly reduce travel time and distance between the two cities. It is expected to reduce the distance by approximately 95 km, shorter than the current routes. Travel time is to be cut in half, from 15 hours to around 7 hours.

According to MagicBricks, the construction of the Pune-Bangalore Expressway is expected to start soon and is planned for completion by 2028. The NHAI is preparing a detailed project report (DPR) for the expressway. Once the DPR is ready, land acquisition and other initial tasks will begin. The report further estimates the cost of the project to be around Rs 4,000 crores.

Additionally,a 119km long Bengaluru-Mysore expressway, situated in India's Karnataka state, aims to improve travel between the two cities. Currently, the journey from Bangalore to Mysore takes over three hours, often longer due to traffic congestion
