'Son Being Falsely Framed, Never Met Siya': Chetan Chaudhary's Father Claims In Ketan Agarwal's Death Case

Pune Trek Case: Amid the probe into the death of businessman Ketan Agarwal, Babulal Chaudhary, father of the key accused Chetan Chaudhary, claimed that his son was wrongly framed in the case. He stated that Chetan was standing far away when the businessman fell off the cliff at Lohagad Fort in Pune on June 18. Babulal Chaudhary also claimed that he never met Siya Goyal, Chetan's alleged girlfriend and another key accused.

'Son Is Being Falsely Framed'

While talking to the news agency ANI, Chaudhary stated that Chetan told the family members Sia was standing near Ketan when he fell off the cliff. He further stated that his son was standing far from them, adding that Chetan was falsely framed in the case.

"He is being falsely framed and has no involvement in this matter. He clearly told us that he did not push the boy and was standing far away. The girl was the one standing right there when the boy fell. I do not know whether she pushed him or not, but Chetan mentioned that he was standing a little further back," Babulal was quoted as saying.

Never Saw Siya Before: Chetan's Father

Babulal Chaudhary further claimed that the family knows nothing about Siya. "We have never seen the girl in question and know absolutely nothing about her. In fact, I only found out her name, Siya, yesterday. I have never seen her before," he added.

The family members also claimed that they did not know about any relationship and accused the media of showing the story of only one side. However, despite these claims, the Pune Police booked Siya and Chetan for murder under sections 103 and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Earlier on Tuesday, both the accused were arrested and sent to seven days of police custody.

Earlier, on June 18, Siya and Ketan went to Lohagad Fort to celebrate the former's birthday; however, the accused pushed Ketan off the cliff to his death, the police stated.
