Former DGP Mohammad Mustafa's son Aqeel Akhtar's death sparks controversy, with Panchkula police registering a case. After a police complaint against Mustaga, his wife and two others were filed, Mustafa backed the police's decision, stating it's their duty to act on written complaints. He clarified that the FIR doesn't imply guilt, and the investigation will reveal the truth soon.

He further said that the real investigation will begin now, and the truth will emerge soon. He dismissed allegations of foul play and torture after his son, Akeel Akhtar, was found lifeless under mysterious circumstances back in August.

The former IPS officer further said that his son's passing has left the family in profound grief, yet they remain resolute in addressing those driven by malicious politics and ulterior motives.

Four people, including Punjab's former director general of police Mohammad Mustafa and his wife, Razia Sultana, a former minister from the state, have been booked in the death case of their 35-year-old son.

 The police named two other persons in the case. They were booked under Sections 103 (1) and 61, which deal with murder and criminal conspiracy charges.

Videos surfaced, purportedly made by Akil prior to his death, alleging personal disputes and apprehensions about threats to his life.
