Radhika Yadav Murder Case: In the murder case of former state-level tennis player Radhika Yadav, she had made an emotional plea to her father, urging him to believe in her and the future she was building. “You have spent Rs 2.5 crore on me. I will not let that money go to waste. I will train young players using my talent and experience in tennis," she told her father, Deepak Yadav, according to sources cited by India Today.

Radhika, a promising state-level tennis player, was allegedly shot dead by her father at their home in Gurugram, following a disagreement over her plans to run a tennis academy. She had hoped to use her years of training and experience to coach aspiring players, expressing a strong desire to honour the financial and emotional investment her father had made in her sporting journey.

Despite her injury two years ago that derailed her professional tennis aspirations, Radhika remained determined to stay connected to the sport. She began booking tennis courts and mentoring young athletes. But her father, reportedly struggling with social pressure and criticism, objected to her continuing the training sessions.

According to the police, Deepak confessed during interrogation that he had been under immense stress. He said he hadn’t slept for 15 days and was mentally affected by taunts from neighbours and relatives, who accused him of relying on his daughter's earnings. Though he reportedly earned around Rs 15 lakh annually through property income, he frequently urged Radhika to abandon her training activities, believing it was no longer necessary.

Gurugram Police revealed that she didn't have her own academy. Instead, she would train aspirants by booking tennis courts at various locations, which her father, Deepak Yadav, strongly objected to. The Gurugram Police produced Deepak Yadav, Radhika's father, in Gurugram Court before the duty magistrate on Saturday and got 14 days of judicial custody granted by the court.

The 25-year-old Radhika would train aspiring players by renting tennis courts at different locations, an arrangement her father disapproved of.

The fatal disagreement reached a horrifying conclusion on Thursday when Radhika was allegedly shot dead at point-blank range by her father at their home in the Sushant Lok area of Sector 57.

Earlier, police reports suggested that Radhika ran a tennis academy and that ongoing disputes about money particularly the perception that Deepak was financially dependent on his daughter had led to the crime. However, authorities later clarified that Deepak had his own steady rental income and was not reliant on Radhika's earnings.

Her social media presence also became a point of contention. Radhika, who aspired to be a social media influencer and had even featured in a music video released last year, was reportedly forced to delete all her online accounts due to pressure from her father, who was unhappy with her visibility and public profile.
