India-Pakistan Tension: Amid escalated tension between India and Pakistan, Indian Railways has cancelled almost all trains operating from Jammu Railway Station. The authority stated that the decision is taken to ensure safety for all the passengers coming to Jammu and nearby regions. It stated that some trains are being stopped on the way and then brought to Jammu for security purposes.
The railway authority stated that it has cancelled a total of 37 trains from several stations. It stated that while the passengers may face a bit of inconvenience due to the decision, it will ensure their safety in this situation. It further advised the passengers to follow the guidelines and check the website ahead of their journey to avoid any inconveniences.
The authority stated that several passengers travel to Jammu and Kashmir to visit several tourist spots, adding that many people also return to their hometowns during the summer vacations. Apart from this, they stated that several passengers travel in April and May to visit the Vaishno Devi temple. It stated that most of the cancelled trains operate from multiple regions of Rajasthan, including Barmer, Jaisalmer, and Bikaner.

The authorities on Saturday stated that a missile-like object landed inside the Dal Lake after loud explosions were heard in the city. The officials stated that smoke started emerging from the surface of the lake after the object fell into the lake. Apart from this, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reviewed the security situation in the border districts of the state, further asking the officials to take every necessary precautionary step.
"Reviewed security situation in the border districts. Anguished by the loss of lives due to unprovoked shelling by Pakistan," Sinha stated in a post on X. The tension between India and Pakistan escalated after a terror attack in Pahalgam in which 26 tourists got killed.
