According to The New Indian Express, the committee approved the parole following the court’s instructions. Their lawyer, Vishram Prajapat, told PTI that the couple, who fell in love in prison, left jail on Wednesday.

As per a Times Of India report, the duo will get married in Barodameo, Prasad’s native town in Alwar. The report added that the couple, who were lodged at the open jail in Sanganer, Rajasthan, had been in a relationship for almost a year.

Police sources told Bhaskar English that Seth and Prasad’s relationship began around six months ago, and the couple has since been living at the open jail in a live-in arrangement.

The open-air camp operates under the Rajasthan Prisoners Open Air Camp Rules, 1972, as part of the state’s prison reform initiative. Under this system, inmates are permitted to leave the facility for work during the day and must return to the open jail each evening. A six-member committee of officials reviews and selects prisoners who can be transferred from regular prisons to the open-air camp.

Bhaskar English also reported that the duo were moved from Jaipur Central Jail to the Sanganer open jail approximately a year ago.
