Rajasthan Weather: Rajasthan has been reeling under scorching conditions for the past couple of days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has now forecast extreme temperatures for Jaipur in the coming days. There was relief from heat in Udaipur and Kota divisions on Tuesday. Now, there is a strong possibility of 1-2 degrees Celsius rise in temperature in the next 48 hours. Between May 21-23, maximum temperature of 45-48 degrees Celsius is likely in some parts of Bikaner division and Shekhawati region. These areas are expected to see extreme heatwave conditions.

Rajasthan Temperature Today

Gangangar recorded 47.2 degrees Celsius, Bikaner: 46.2 degrees Celsius, Churu 46.0 degrees Celsius, and Jaipur 42.8 degrees Celsius. Districts such as Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Barmer, Jodhpur, and Jaisalmer, which lie on the border, remained in the grip of severe heatwave conditions.

“The upper air cyclonic circulation over south Haryana & adjoining northeast Rajasthan at 0.9 km above mean sea level persists,” IMD, Jaipur said in its bulletin on Tuesday.

“The trough from central parts of Punjab to central parts of Madhya Pradesh across above cyclonic circulation over south Haryana & adjoining northeast Rajasthan at 0.9 km above mean sea level persists,” IMD, Jaipur added.

IMD has also put Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner, Churu, Pilani, and Jaipur on red alert as areas are expected to witness maximum temperatures of 45 degrees Celsius or above in the coming days. As per the weather body, certain locations in Bikaner and Jaipur are likely to see a maximum temperature of 47 degrees Celsius in the coming days.
