Rajasthan Weather Update: The weather in Rajasthan has taken a dramatic turn with the onset of Nautapa, a period traditionally associated with intense summer heat. However, contrary to expectations, several parts of the state experienced strong dust storms, thunderstorms, and rainfall in the last 24 hours, bringing much-needed respite from the scorching conditions.
While districts like Jaipur felt a drop in temperature due to the showers, other parts of the state continue to grapple with heatwave-like conditions.
Rain, Thunderstorms & Strong Winds In These Districts
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for several regions over the next few days. For May 29, alerts have been announced for Ajmer, Pali, Rajsamand, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dholpur, and Jhunjhunu, warning of thunderstorms, lightning, rain, and squalls with strong winds.

Moving into May 30, most parts of East Rajasthan are under a yellow alert, with the exception of Ajmer and Alwar as of now. The department expects the wet spell to continue over the next 4–5 days across 15 districts in both eastern and western Rajasthan, which is likely to further ease daytime temperatures.
Rainfall & Temperature Report
While most regions remained dry on Monday, Pratapgarh recorded 1 mm of rain, offering a hint of the changing conditions.

Residents are advised to stay updated with local weather bulletins and take necessary precautions, especially in districts where IMD alerts have been issued.
