Gujarat Weather Update: Gujarat continues to experience unstable weather conditions, with cloudy skies and intermittent rainfall reported across several regions. Following heavy rain and strong winds that hit Ahmedabad and other areas last night, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast further rainfall across the state until June 1, 2025. Currently, many areas are witnessing overcast skies, indicating ongoing atmospheric instability.

Multiple Districts To Witness Rain, Gusty Winds

The IMD has issued yellow and orange alerts for various districts, warning of thunderstorms accompanied by rain and strong winds. For today, May 26, 2025, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in districts such as Surendranagar, Rajkot, Botad, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Dahod, Panchmahal, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Tapi, Dang, Navsari, and Valsad. Due to the likelihood of thunderstorms, an orange alert has been issued for several of these regions.

Scattered showers are also likely in Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Kheda, Bharuch, Surat, Vadodara, Mehsana, Banaskantha, and Kutch.

IMD Issues Orange Alert In These Districts

An orange alert has been declared for Rajkot, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Botad, Surendranagar, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Chhota Udepur, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Narmada, and Mahisagar due to the risk of intense rainfall and thunderstorms.

Gujarat Weather Forecast This Week ( May 27- June 1, 2025 )

On May 27, 2025, Kutch district may witness scattered light to moderate rainfall, while other districts including Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Bhavnagar, Amreli, Gir Somnath, Mehsana, Jamnagar, Navsari, Valsad, Banaskantha, Patan, Kheda, Anand, Gandhinagar, Sabarkantha, Panchmahal, and Dahod are expected to receive light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder.

For May 28, 2025, the IMD has issued a heavy rainfall warning for Amreli, Bhavnagar, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, and Dahod. Other districts, including Surendranagar, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Morbi, Jamnagar, Botad, Kheda, Anand, Kutch, Banaskantha, Mehsana, Vadodara, Surat, Navsari, Tapi, and Valsad, may experience light to moderate showers.

Looking ahead to the end of May and early June, light to moderate rainfall is expected at isolated locations in Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Bharuch, Vadodara, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, Dang, Chhota Udepur, Dahod, and Panchmahal on May 30, May 31, and June 1, 2025.

Residents are advised to stay updated with local weather reports and take necessary precautions, especially in districts under orange alert, as the risk of intense rainfall and thunderstorms remains high.
