Rajasthan Weather Update: Heavy rain lashed several parts of Rajasthan on Friday morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued an alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Kota, Jaipur, Ajmer and Jodhpur divisions. The weather department has a red alert for heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning throughout the day. Torrential rain in Rajasthan has led to severe waterlogging on roads and in nearby areas.
Rainwater entered Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital in Ajmer following a continuous spell of heavy downpour in the city, news agency ANI reported.

Rajasthan Weather: Red Alert Issued For THESE Areas
Monsoon is most active in eastern Rajasthan today. During the last 24 hours, moderate to heavy rainfall was recorded in Pali, Sawai Madhopur, Hanumangarh, Ganganagar, Jodhpur, Karauli, Jhalawar, Baran, Churu, Jhunjhunu, and Dausa.
The IMD has issued a red alert for Ajmer, Bhilwara, Bundi, Kota, Tonk and Pali, while an orange alert has been issued in Baran, Chittorgarh, Jhalawar, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Sawai, Madhopur, Sirohi, Udaipur and Nagaur. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected to occur at these places.

Similar conditions are likely to prevail on July 19, with heavy rain likely in some parts of Rajasthan and moderate rainfall in the remaining parts. Rainfall activity is likely to decrease from July 20.
Torrential rain has caused waterlogging and traffic congestion in several parts of the city. Rainwater entered homes and several other buildings. Heavy rain caused loss of life and property. In the past four days, 21 people lost their lives in rain-related incidents, Amar Ujala reported. A young man was swept away due to heavy rain in Kota on Thursday.
