Bollywood actor Salman Khan received a fresh death threat on Thursday, hours after a 20-year-old Noida youth was arrested for threatening him and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique. On Tuesday, the Mumbai Police’s Traffic Control Room received this threatening message. The sender demanded Rs 2 crore and warned that Salman Khan would be killed if the amount was not paid.

The police have filed a complaint in Worli Police Station against an unknown caller under Sections 354(2) and 308(4).

Earlier, Zeeshan Siddique and Salman Khan received death threat calls. The caller not only threatened to kill both of them but also demanded ransom. Following a complaint, a case was registered at the Nirmal Nagar Police Station. Later, a 20-year-old youth, Mohammed Tayyab alias Gurfan Khan, was arrested by Mumbai Police. He was taken into custody and police were making provisions for his transit remand.

Notably, Salman has been perpetually receiving threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. NCP leader and his close friend Baba Siddique was killed outside his son’s office on October 12. Bishnoi gang took responsibility for the crime. The actor’s security has been heightened since Siddique’s murder.

Zeeshan Siddique also received death threats, weeks after his father's murder. The threat message demanded Rs 5 crore as ransom. A 24-year-old vegetable seller from Jamshedpur was arrested by Mumbai Police in this case.

In April this year, two men on a motorcycle fired shots outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai. According to the Mumbai Police, the shooters were allegedly hired by Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang as part of a plot to assassinate the actor.
