Salman Khan Security Threat: Four members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang have been arrested for allegedly planning to carry out an attack on Bollywood actor Salman Khan's car, Navi Mumbai Police said. The plan involved ordering weapons from a Pakistani arms supplier, the police claimed. An FIR has been registered in the matter, the police said, adding that Lawrence Bishnoi, his brother Anmol Bishnoi, and Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar have been booked.

"The arrested accused have been identified as Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahvi, Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna and Rizwan Khan alias Javed Khan," Navi Mumbai Police was quoted as saying by news agency ANI on Saturday. Further investigation is underway, the police said.

The arrests by Navi Mumbai Police come less than two months after two bike-borne assailants fired multiple rounds outside Khan's apartment building, Galaxy Apartments, in Mumbai's upscale Bandra locality. As many as six arrests, including those of the suspected shooters -- Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal  -- have been made by the crime branch of Mumbai Police as part of its probe into the firing incident so far.

One of the arrested individuals, however, was found dead inside the toilet of the lock-up of Mumbai crime branch on May 1. Lawrence and Anmol have been named in the case pertaining to the firing, which took place on April 14 this year.
