SpiceJet passengers got angry over the quality of food served to them at the Pune airport after a reported delay in the flight. In the viral video, the agitated passengers could be seen surrounding a ground staff member and forcing him to eat the same meal given to the passengers. The SpiceJet employee was seen complying and consuming the food in front of the passengers. The airline has however denied the allegations made by the passengers about the food quality.
The incident occurred in a Delhi-bound SpiceJet flight SG-8124, which was delayed for over seven hours, according to the Navbharat Times. The passengers' frustration over the flight delay further escalated the incident.

Airline Reaction
“We strongly deny the claims being made in connection with the video in question, which is over two weeks old. The food served to passengers was fresh and of good quality,” the airline spokesperson said to HT.com, denying the allegations. The food was procured from an authorised vendor who not only supplies the food to SpiceJet but other airlines, the spokesperson added.
The spokesperson also made a statement on the behaviour of passengers towards the ground staff. “Our ground staff carry out their responsibilities diligently and to the best of their abilities. The incident captured in the video is deeply unfortunate, and the behaviour displayed towards our staff is unacceptable and condemnable,” the official said.
