Establishing the Isha Foundation, the 66-year-old spiritual guru has started environmental conservation campaigns such as 'Save Soil' and 'Rally for Rivers'.
He had spent the previous four weeks experiencing severe migraines. He carried out his regular daily routine, social engagements, and even the Maha Shivaratri function on March 8 despite the intensity of the pain, according to the statement.
He called the hospital's senior consultant neurologist, Dr Vinit Suri, on March 15 after his headache got worse, according to the report.
It further stated that Suri promptly recommended an urgent MRI and suspected subdural blood loss.
The same day, the spiritual leader had a brain MRI, which showed extensive skull bleeding.
The report stated that although Sadhguru had significant meetings and events planned for March 15 and 16, he was advised to be admitted to the hospital right away and that his medication schedule should be adjusted accordingly. It also stated that he was able to complete the meetings with the help of painkillers.
