Day after encounter of Asad, the accused in the murder of Surya Chauhan on Bakrid, the officials of the Ghaziabad administration put an eviction notice on his home with a 15-day ultimatum, warning of a bulldozer action.
However, reports now reveal that the house was already sold by Asad's father six months ago. The administration has termed the house as illegal construction. According to a report by Jagran.com, Asad's father Nawab has a 50 square yard house in Navneet Vihar Colony. Locals say that he had sold the house for about Rs 52 lakh through a property dealer six months ago. However, the house has not been registered yet.
Ritesh Singh, the Ghaziabad Tehsildar, said that a notice was posted on the house of the accused, Asad, on Monday. He explained that the house was built on Gram Panchayat land. Building, selling, or purchasing a house on government land is illegal.
He added that a 15-day ultimatum has been given to vacate the house. Within 15 days, the sellers and buyers of the house will respond to the notice and remove the illegal encroachment. If neither party responds, the administrative team will remove the illegal encroachment at their own expense.
District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandhad has also given Surya's family a cheque of Rs 5 lakh. Nawab lived in the house with his second wife, Asad, and another son and daughter-in-law.
Neighbors said Asad's brother had been unfavorable to his family. Nawab had evicted him. After the house was sold, he and his wife rented a house elsewhere, while Asad, his father, and his stepmother lived in another house.
Neighbours added that Asad's behavior was unfavorable in the neighborhood, and he would frequently quarrel with people in the street.
