Officials confirmed that all trains will operate with their existing schedules, stoppages and coach composition. Advance reservations for the extended services are already open.

In separate news, Day train operations on the Bengaluru–Mangaluru–Karwar stretch are unlikely to restart on November 1 as planned, South Western Railway (SWR) officials confirmed. Electrification work on the 55-km Sakleshpur–Subrahmanya Road ghat line has faced setbacks due to two major landslides in June and August. Though some sections were completed before the monsoon, debris clearance delayed progress, forcing SWR to seek an extension of the block period from the Railway Ministry. Several popular day services, including Yeshwantpur–Mangaluru and Yeshwantpur–Karwar trains, remain suspended since May 31, disappointing passengers who valued the scenic monsoon journeys, particularly with Vistadome coaches.
