Tamil Nadu Weather Update: Tamil Nadu might see a heavy rain in a few remote areas in the coming days. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the rain would batter interior areas and districts around the Western Ghats for at least three days in a row.

The sky will stay mostly clear, although there will be some light rainfall in Chennai. The temperature will fall from today's recorded 38 degrees Celsius. The Met Office said that the pre-monsoon conditions over the Bay of Bengal are responsible for the anticipated rainfall.

They also stated that the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Comorin region, the south Bay of Bengal, the south Arabian Sea, and the Maldives are experiencing an increase in cloud formation activity. As a result, it can bring rains in portions of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

"Southwest Monsoon has further advanced today into some parts of the southeast Arabian Sea, Maldives & Comorin area, and some more parts of the South Bay of Bengal, Andaman Islands and Andaman Sea," the IMD said.

They forecast that the Southwest Monsoon might reach Kerala on or around May 27. The monsoon is expected to increase Tamil Nadu's rainfall activity.

Tamil Nadu 7-Day Forecast

- May 15: The sky will be partly cloudy. It will be hot with temperatures between 28 degrees Celcius and 38 degrees Celcius.

- May 16: The sky will be mostly cloudy, and there may be light rain. Temperatures will stay between 28 degrees Celcius and 38 degrees Celcius.

- May 17: Cloudy sky with light rain expected. The temperature will be 29 degrees Celcius in the morning and 37 degrees Celcius in the afternoon.

- May 18: Partly cloudy skies with a chance of moderate rain or thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 29°C to 36 degrees Celcius.

- May 19: Generally cloudy with some light rain. Temperatures will be between 29 degrees Celcius and 36 degrees Celcius.

- May 20: It will rain. Morning temperature will be 28 degrees Celcius and afternoon temperature will be 35 degrees Celcius.

- May 21: The sky will be partly cloudy again, with temperatures between 28 degrees Celcius and 35 degrees Celcius.
