India Pakistan News: Two Pakistani fighter pilots were reportedly captured by Indian forces after they ejected from their aircraft and landed inside Indian territory during a failed aerial assault on Thursday night. The incident occurred near Rajasthan's Jaisalmer and Akhnoor in Jammu, where Indian Air Defence systems, including the S-400 and Akash missile systems, intercepted and shot down multiple incoming threats, including two Chinese-made JF-17 and one US-made F-16 aircraft, all attempting to breach Indian airspace.

According to a report by Jagran.com, officials confirmed that the Pakistani aircraft were detected and neutralised well before they could strike, with Indian forces maintaining full control of their airspace. Pakistan had launched a coordinated attack involving drones, missiles, and fighter jets across multiple Indian cities, including Jammu, Pathankot, Udhampur, and Jaisalmer. However, all incoming threats were successfully intercepted.

The unprovoked aggression by Pakistan is seen as a direct fallout of India’s calibrated response under ‘Operation Sindoor’. India has maintained that its strikes have been precise, restrained and entirely within Indian borders, targeting only terror bases in PoK and Pakistan and no military facilities were attacked.

Despite India’s non-provocative stance, Pakistan attempted to escalate the situation by targeting Indian military installations late Wednesday and Thursday night across 15 cities from Jammu and Kashmir to Gujarat. However, none of these attacks succeeded. The Indian Air Defence grid and the integrated Counter-UAS system neutralised all threats mid-air.

India Launches Strikes On Nine Pakistani Cities:

In a decisive counterstrike, India also launched drone and missile attacks in nine cities, including Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Sialkot and Bahawalpur. The report by Jagran.com further stated that a Chinese-made HQ-9 air defence system in Lahore was destroyed using Israeli-sourced Harop drones. The strikes have sent shockwaves across Pakistan, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reportedly convening an emergency high-level meeting involving top military and intelligence officials.

Meanwhile, India has issued a strong warning to Islamabad, stating that any further attempts to escalate tension will be met with an even stronger response. The shelling from across the border has also intensified, with Pakistan targeting civilian areas in the Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, and Rajouri sectors using mortars and heavy artillery. Indian officials confirmed the death of 16 innocent civilians, including three women and five children.
