As the first phase of Census 2027 is approaching, the UP government has launched a self-enumeration facility for its citizens to avoid . The online facility will be running from May 7 to May 21.

Under this process, citizens would be able to provide their complete details in an online mode.

To fill the self-enumeration form, follow the steps:

Open the website link https://se.census.gov.in in your browser. Select Uttar Pradesh as the state and enter the captcha.

Secondly, register with the head of the family's name and mobile number. Verification will be completed by entering the OTP received on your mobile number.

Then, choose any one of the 16 languages provided, as per your convenience. After this, the form will be opened automatically. People can then fill in details such as state, district, village or city, and house details.

To find your home, mark it in red on the map. The form will ask a total of 33 questions, including the type of house (pucca or kutcha), electricity and water facilities, toilets, family details, and details of assets such as televisions, mobile phones, and internet. If one faces any difficulty understanding a question, they can find it here.

After filling in all the information, carefully check the form and submit it.

After submitting the form, one will receive a self-enumeration SE ID, which must be kept safe. When a census officer or enumerator visits a citizen's home, they simply need to show this ID. This will save you the need to provide information again.

India’s First Digital Enumeration Facility

Census 2027 will mark India’s first digital enumeration, leveraging mobile-based data collection to enable faster and more efficient nationwide data availability. The Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs, in its meeting on 30th April 2025, decided to include caste enumeration in the Census 2027.
