Attack Caught on CCTV
The entire incident, which occurred around 3:15 AM, was captured on CCTV. Haris had just returned from playing cricket and was standing near his house with another man when two motorcycles approached. As the bikes slowed down, one of the pillion riders pulled out a gun and aimed at him. Sensing danger, Haris tried to shield himself, but the attacker fired two quick shots.
As Haris collapsed, one of the shooters dismounted and shot him again at point-blank range. Another assailant from the second bike also approached and fired three more bullets before fleeing the scene. The man who was with Haris managed to escape.
Authorities were alerted about the shooting around 3:30 AM. Haris was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Assistant Superintendent of Police Mayank Pathak confirmed that an investigation is underway, with personal enmity being a possible motive. However, other angles are also being explored.
