Weather News: Southwest monsoon is beginning to retreat, and India is experiencing contrasting weather patterns across states. While the flood situation prevails in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, regions like Delhi are grappling with heat. The national capital is expected to reach a maximum temperature of 36 degree Celsius and a minimum of 26 degree Celsius on October 1 with residents facing humid humid conditions.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for rainfall in several northeastern states, including Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Manipur, as well as in southern states like Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Several districts of Maharashtra are also likely to witness rainfall in several districts.
Uttar Pradesh is set to receive rain today, and Bihar may experience light showers tomorrow, according to Patna’s Meteorological Center. In the hilly regions of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, rain is expected to continue, with the monsoon likely to withdraw from Uttarakhand by October 3.
However, Rajasthan will remain mostly dry over the next three days, though districts like Jaipur and Udaipur might see cloudy skies.

This year, the monsoon was delayed by a week than usual. While the monsoon withdrawal in Delhi usually takes place on September 25, there has been a significant delay this year. The monsoon session began to withdraw in Rajasthan and Gujarat on September 23. This week in the nation's capital, an announcement on the monsoon season's end is anticipated.
The IMD has not provided a precise date for the monsoon's departure from the nation's capital. According to the most recent information provided by the IMD department, the monsoon passes through Firozpur, Sirsa, Churu, Ajmer, Mount Abu, Deesa, Surendranagar, and Junagarh, among other places in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
