Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed of a low pressure area that has formed over the Gulf of Khambhat. As a result, heavy rain is expected in Saurashtra and Kutch regions of Gujarat on Tuesday. Meanwhile, heavy showers are also forecast in eastern India from October 2.

All India Weather Forecast

Over the past 24 hours, heavy rains have continued along the Konkan coast, including Gujarat. Meanwhile, in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, heavy rains accompanied by strong storms and thunderstorms are continuing due to a cyclone. IMD has issued an orange rain alert for Gujarat today. A yellow rain alert has been issued for the northeastern states, including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.

Rain In Himachal-Uttarakhand

The monsoon wreaked havoc in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. After a brief respite, rain has resumed in the hill states. Rain warnings have been issued for Dehradun and Pithoragarh. According to IMD, thunderstorms and lightning are likely in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh on October 4 and 5.

Delhi-NCR Weather

Drizzle occurred at several locations in Delhi-NCR on Tuesday morning. On October 2, the weather could change regions, including Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad. Light rain in Delhi-NCR until Dussehra could bring a drop in temperatures. Heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms is also expected in Rajasthan from September 30 to October 3.

UP-Bihar Weather

People in Uttar Pradesh are yet to see any relief from the heat. The IMD has forecast light rain in some areas on Tuesday. Light to moderate rain is expected in Lucknow and surrounding districts between September 30 and October 3.

The weather in Bihar may change over the next seven days. Heavy rain is expected in West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha in the next four to five days. Light to moderate rain is also possible in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana until October 2.
