Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday stated that several states are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next few days. The weather department stated that while some of the states are expected to receive thunderstorms and strong surface winds along with heavy rain, the others will witness light to moderate rainfall. The IMD also stated that the continuous rainfall is likely to provide relief from the heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius. However, several key cities, including Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, are also likely to witness waterlogging, leading to slow vehicular movement. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
