Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday stated that the weather conditions are likely to change in several states in the upcoming few days. The weather department stated that parts of Jammu and Kashmir are expected to witness heavy rain in the next few days. However, the temperature is likely to increase in other northern states, including Delhi-NCR, Punjab, and Haryana. It further stated that parts of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka are likely to witness light to heavy rain in the upcoming few days.

Orange Alert Issued For Jammu-Kashmir

The weather department stated that several regions of Jammu and Kashmir received heavy rains on Sunday, leading to flashfloods in Ramban district. It stated that the union territory is likely to further witness similar weather conditions for the next few days. The authorities informed that five people died on Sunday due to the flashfloods and heavy rain in Ramban. The administration has advised the locals and tourists to limit their outings and follow the advisory.

Delhi Residents To Witness Clear Skies 

Delhi residents experienced cloudy skies with gentle breeze on Sunday, leading to a minor dip in the temperature. The IMD stated that the minimum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, 4.4 degrees more than the season's average minimum temperature. The IMD stated that the residents of the capital city will experience partly cloudy skies on Monday, with the maximum temperature likely to be recorded at 39 degrees Celsius.

Heavy Rain Expected In Telangana, Andhra Pradesh 

The weather department has also stated that several districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall in the next two days. The IMD issued a Yellow alert on Sunday for multiple districts of Telangana, stating that heavy rain along with thunderstorms and lightning is expected during these days. Apart from this, the weather department stated that Bengaluru is likely to witness clear skies on Monday and the maximum temperature is likely to be recorded at 33 degrees Celsius.
