The weather has changed across the country, with heavy rains expected in some places and snowfall in the hilly regions. Snowfall in the mountains has brought down the temperature in northern states.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that the impact of a western disturbance will change the weather in many northern Indian states.

Rain expected in states

According to the IMD forecast, light rain and thundershowers are expected in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, Bihar, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, and Madhya Pradesh today.

Snowfall and rain are expected in the hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

Weather in Delhi

Delhi will remain cloudy today, though it hasn't rained in the past two days. On Wednesday, the AQI was recorded at 202, which falls in the 'poor' category. According to the IMD, a maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius is expected in the national capital.

The strong winds will make the cold bitter, while there's little hope of relief from air pollution.
