Kolkata Shocker: In another disturbing incident from West Bengal, a 15-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted at the government-run SSKM Hospital in Kolkata on Wednesday, October 22. According to the police, the accused is a temporary staff member of Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital (NRS) and had previously worked at the SSKM Hospital.
The accused lured the girl and took her to the washroom, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her. Following the incident, the police arrested him in the Dhapa area.
Here’s How The Incident Unfolded
According to the police, the accused was dressed in the SSKM Hospital uniform that he had with him since he was employed at the facility. When the victim’s parents went to get an OPD ticket, the accused lured her. He reportedly took her to the trauma care section and then to a washroom, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
Upon hearing her screams, nearby people rushed to her immediately. The accused fled the scene but was later arrested by the police late at night in the Dhapa area.
He has been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and is being questioned at Bhawanipur Police Station. He will be produced before a special court, where the police are expected to seek custody for further investigation.

Similar Incidents
Earlier on Monday, three people were arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman doctor and threatening her with rape. The shocking incident took place on Monday at Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay Government Medical College and Hospital in Uluberia, Howrah district.
In a similar incident earlier this month, a second-year MBBS student was allegedly gangraped in West Bengal’s Durgapur. The incident occurred on October 10, when she went out with her male friend to have dinner.
